PM Petrol Relief Scheme 2026: 9771 Registration & Rs100 Subsidy
Pakistan's PM Petrol Relief Scheme 2026 offers eligible motorcycle, rickshaw, Qingqi and small-car users a Rs100-per-litre petrol discount within a monthly limit. This guide explains the reported 9771 registration process, the REG and TOK messages, vehicle categories and announced start dates.
Announcement and limits: Radio Pakistan. Registration procedure: Business Recorder.

How does the Rs100 petrol subsidy work?
The announced Pakistan petrol relief package is a discount on a limited amount of fuel. It is not an unlimited reduction for every vehicle or every litre purchased.
Rs100 cheaper does not mean petrol costs Rs100. For an eligible litre, subtract the Rs100 discount from the applicable pump price. The price payable still depends on the fuel price in force when you buy.
| Vehicle category | Discounted fuel cap | Maximum saving |
|---|---|---|
| Motorcycles and other two-wheelers | 20 litres / month | Rs2,000 / month |
| Rickshaws, Qingqis and other three-wheelers | 20 litres / month | Rs2,000 / month |
| Eligible small cars up to 800cc | 30 litres / month | Rs3,000 / month |
Vehicle categories and caps: The Nation. Maximum savings are calculated as the monthly litre limit multiplied by Rs100.
For example, 12 eligible litres produce a saving of 12 × Rs100 = Rs1,200. Buying less than your limit does not produce the maximum saving. Fuel beyond the available quota should not be included when estimating the subsidy.
Bike petrol relief scheme: eligibility and required information
The announced vehicle categories are listed above. For registration, have your valid CNIC, a mobile SIM registered in your own name and the vehicle's registration record ready. Verification uses the relevant provincial vehicle records.
Identity, SIM and verification requirements: Business Recorder and Pakistan Today.
- Check your CNIC: copy the number carefully rather than typing it from memory.
- Check the registration number: use the vehicle record, not a nickname or the model name.
- Find the registration date: do not substitute the manufacturing year, your birth date or today's date.
- Confirm the car's engine capacity: a model name alone is not enough to establish whether a particular car is within the announced 800cc category.
A vehicle falling within an announced category is not proof that an individual application has been approved. Keep the registration response and follow any verification instructions you receive.
9771 petrol scheme registration: SMS format and steps
The reported registration method uses an SMS to 9771. Enter your details below to prepare the message, then copy it or open a draft in your phone's messaging app. This is a message helper, not a government application form.
Manual SMS format
REG CNIC VEHICLENUMBER PROVINCECODE DDMMYYYY
- Enter your 13-digit CNIC without dashes.
- Enter your vehicle registration number without spaces or dashes.
- Add the relevant single-letter province code from the table below.
- Add the vehicle registration date in DDMMYYYY format, keeping one space between each field.
- Send the completed message to 9771 from your own registered SIM and wait for the registration response.
Command, destination, field order and date format: Business Recorder. CNIC and vehicle-number formatting: Pakistan Today.
Date example: a registration date of 8 January 2024 becomes 08012024. The builder only checks the format of your inputs. Copying a message or opening your SMS app does not register you or confirm approval.
Province codes for 9771 registration
Use the code that corresponds to the vehicle's registration records. Do not replace the required code with a full city or province name.
| Province or territory | SMS code |
|---|---|
| Punjab | P |
| Sindh | S |
| Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP / KPK) | K |
| Balochistan | B |
| Islamabad | I |
| Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) | A |
| Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) | G |
Reported province-code list: Business Recorder.
How to get a TOK fuel token and discounted petrol
After successful registration, the reported next step is to send TOK to 9771 before visiting a participating petrol station. Present the resulting fuel token to the station operator for verification and the applicable discount.
Token procedure: UrduPoint and Pakistan Connect.
Keep the reply available on your phone. Read any quantity, validity or station instructions in that message. Before filling, ask the operator to confirm that the station can process your token and what quantity can receive relief.
Do not assume every petrol pump is participating or that a registration confirmation alone is the fuel token. This article does not provide a verified station directory or a fixed token-expiry period.
When does the petrol relief scheme start?
The announced schedule separates registration from the start of discounted fuel purchases. The dates below use Pakistan local time.
| Stage or area | Announced date |
|---|---|
| Registration opening | 13 September 2026 |
| Islamabad fuel-relief start | 15 September 2026, 12:00 midnight at the start of the day |
| Rest of Pakistan, including AJK and GB | 17 September 2026, 12:00 midnight at the start of the day |
Announced rollout: Radio Pakistan and The Nation.
In other words, Islamabad's start is the night of 14–15 September, and the wider rollout is the night of 16–17 September. As of this article's 14 September review, these fuel-purchase starts are still scheduled, not verified completed rollouts.
Petrol subsidy calculator: estimate monthly savings
Use the announced limits to estimate your saving. This is a calculation tool, not a CNIC checker, approval service or live quota lookup.
Formula: minimum of monthly litres and category limit × Rs100. Assumes eligibility, an available full monthly quota and purchases through participating stations. It does not confirm actual entitlement or future policy.
Petrol subsidy online apply and CNIC check: what is available?
Looking for a PM petrol relief scheme online application? The September procedure covered in the linked reports uses SMS registration through 9771. A blog's application button is not evidence that it is an authorised government service.
Reported application route: UrduPoint.
No separate official web-based CNIC status checker or application deadline was independently verified for this guide at the last review. Use the registration reply and the latest government instructions rather than entering personal information into an unrelated website.
Protect your information: do not post your CNIC, SIM details, documents, OTP or fuel token in public comments. Do not pay an agent who promises guaranteed approval. The SMS helper only formats your message locally and cannot approve or reject an application. Do not enter your details unless you trust the website hosting this guide.
9771 registration failed or no reply: what to check
Start with the exact wording of the response. The checks below follow the reported message fields; they are not a diagnosis of a particular rejection.
- Check the sender: make sure the SIM is registered in your own name.
- Compare the vehicle information: recheck the number and province code against the registration record.
- Check the date: confirm the recorded registration date and the eight-digit DDMMYYYY format.
- Keep the two messages separate: registration uses REG plus your details; the subsequent token request uses TOK.
Field and process checks are based on Pakistan Today and UrduPoint.
A missing reply by itself does not establish approval or rejection. Avoid repeatedly sending messages without checking the instructions and any applicable SMS charges. Where your documents and the official vehicle record disagree, seek correction through the relevant registration authority instead of inventing information.
PM Petrol Relief Scheme 2026: frequently asked questions
Is the Rs2,000 bike benefit a cash payment?
The announced benefit is a fuel discount. Rs2,000 is the calculated maximum saving when 20 eligible litres each receive Rs100 relief, not a separate cash payment promised by this article. Source: The Nation.
Is the 20-litre motorcycle quota daily or monthly?
The announced two- and three-wheeler limit is monthly, not daily. Source: Radio Pakistan.
Can a 1000cc or 1300cc car get this petrol subsidy?
Those engine sizes fall outside the announced small-car category of up to 800cc. Do not assume a different vehicle is eligible unless a later official announcement expands the category. Source: Pakistan Connect.
What happens if the bike is registered in a family member's name?
PhoneWorld's 14 September report attributes different ownership treatment for motorcycles and rickshaws versus cars to the IT minister. That exception was not independently checked against primary guidance for this article. Verify the current vehicle-specific instructions rather than assuming that every family-owned vehicle qualifies. Do not send another person's CNIC as your own. Read the report.
Why do some older articles say the 9771 method is unconfirmed?
Check the publication date. A PakWheels fact-check dated 2 April 2026 questioned the SMS method at that time; the September reports cited in this guide describe a later registration announcement. An earlier warning and a later announcement should not be treated as simultaneous guidance. April report; September report.
Can I get petrol for exactly Rs100 per litre?
That is not what a Rs100-per-litre subsidy means. A discount reduces the applicable price by Rs100 for eligible litres; it does not set the selling price at Rs100. Check the pump price and the approved discounted quantity before paying.
What is the last date to apply for petrol relief?
A confirmed application deadline was not independently verified for this guide as of 14 September 2026. The rollout dates above are not application closing dates. Check a current government announcement before relying on a deadline shared elsewhere.
